Meredith sighed “Well Ric is the father of her kids” she said trying to explain Jenna’s behavior and in a way she understood and she didn’t blame her because she didn’t know who Brian was, what he was to Meredith but she was sure Damon took care of that afterwards “You know at this rate it’s only a matter of time before everyone in town finds out about us” she said tilting her head a little she honestly didn’t care anymore it would be nice to have people talk about something that made her happy as opposed to her mother.
“Yeah and then I’m out of a job,” Brian replied with a sigh as he brushed his fingers through his hair. “I promise if we survive this whole sacrifice thing I’ll quit and we can take our relationship public. Deal?”
Meredith sat up on her knees and gave him a wide smile, she wanted that. She wanted to be able to walk around town and hold her boyfriend’s hand and be able to go out on dates and things of that nature, while she knew her father would not approve and that there was a chance that he’d go completely crazy she was willing to risk it for the simple reason that she was done being afraid of being herself of showing him who she was. “Yeah?” she said smiling and taking his hands in hers.
“Yeah,” Brian said with a smile, “Why would I lie about that?” It would be nice to not keep this secret. There was just so much going on maybe having their relationship out in the open wouldn’t be so bad.
Meredith grinned and lunged forward carefully of course but she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a kiss that lasted a few minutes until she pulled back still a smile on her face “I love you” she said placing a hand on his cheek and leaning her forehead against his, she was excited for this she wanted it, in a way coming out would make them real not that they weren’t already but this would just meant that everybody would know it.
“I love you too,” Brian said with a smile as he watched her. “I promise I won’t leave you for Sadie and I promise you can eat the ice cream in my freezer. I won’t make you buy your own.”

Meredith sighed, as she placed a hand on his cheek and grazes it with her thumb softly “He’s a dick” she said softly as she went to rest her head on his chest. “He didn’t have to do that, I don’t care if Ric is his only friend” she spat out angrily so she was upset and not really at Ric himself but she didn’t like he fact that Damon excused him hitting Brian but was ready to set him on fire for torturning Alaric it was hypocritical on her part. “And besides that’s his fault if he wasn’t such an insufferable jack ass” she didn’t really finish her sentence because she knew she didn’t actually dislike him but she wasn’t about to admitt that not to anyone ever
“He is a dick,” Brian said with a nod. He wasn’t going to disagree with that. Damon was just…well he hated the guy what more he could say? He wouldn’t ever like him.
Meredith nodded “Very much so” she agreed trying to keep her head from telling her to stop saying things like that because she really didn’t believe it but that was beside the point she didn’t take lightly to anybody insulting somone she loved. “But whatever screw him” she said through gritted teeth as she leaned side ways so she was resting against his side. “I swear if he does something like getting Jenna to shoot you, or hurt you in any way I’ll drive a stake through his heart” she replied as she closed her eyes and let out a long sigh.
“Well I do think Jenna shooting me was more her idea but if it wasn’t for him she wouldn’t have been there,” Brian replied. He got what Jenna was doing but everyone should realize Ric was gone. The Ric they knew was just…gone.

Meredith shook her head “I don’t want your ice-cream” she said trying to keep a straight face but it was becoming extremely hard to do so. “It’s probably gross and icky anyway” she added sounding like a little girl, but she didn’t exactly care. “And besides I don’t come over for the ice-cream she said finally giving in and smiling lightly at him before she moved over to kiss his lips lightly. “I come over because I kind of sort of have a thing for you” she said softly as she looked at him, that was true, she loved being around him and she loved the way he had to just make everything disappear.
“I kind of have a thing for you too,” Brian said with a nod, “then again I also kind of have a thing for Sadie…” He couldn’t help but bring that up. The conversations they had were completely crazy but he loved them.
“You’re going to make me want to get rid of her you know” she said scrunching her nose up a little as she pouted at him. “Then who will keep me company?” she added dramatically “Should be ashamed for coming between two best friends like that” she said as if Sadie were truly a person.
“Hey she came onto me first,” Brian said raising his hands up in surrender, “You need to talk to her about coming between us. I don’t think she likes you very much you know. What kind of friend tries to come between their friend and their friend’s boyfriend.”
Meredith pouted to then sigh “Speaking of people who don’t like each other” she said looking at him “Damon, hates you” she said shrugging her shoulders “I wouldn’t feel to bad he’s an ass and hates everyone” she added rolling her eyes as she looked at Brian “Well everyone but Ric” she added scratching her cheek so she was feeling bad abou arguing with him but she wasn’t about to cave in first even though she knew it would be a great no brilliant idea.
“Yeah I kind of figured that,” Brian replied with a nod, “he did have Jenna shoot me so…” He knew that Damon didn’t like him and honestly he didn’t like Damon. So for him this was a win-win.

Meredith laughed as she leaned her head against his shoulder “That’s not fair!” she whined a little as she looked up at him “If I bring my own ice-cream it should stay mine” she said firmly “You need to learn to play fair” she said tilting her head a little as she played with his fingers. “Besides I can convince you to share with me” she said giving him a mischievous smile. “Like you said I have womanly powers” she added laughing once again.
“I will not be swayed by your womanly powers,” Brian replied with a shake of his head, “You cannot convince me this time Meredith I’m sorry. You’re just going to have to get your ice cream from now on.”
Meredith smiled mischievously “Really?” she said looking at him as she tilted her head a little “You’re totally going to regret saying that” she said crossing her legs and looking directly at him “You know you like my womanly charms” she added letting out a small giggle but what the hell she liked his charm as well. In fact she enjoyed it all too much. “But suit yourself” she added as she ruffled her hair a little.
“And you’ll miss eating my ice cream,” Brian replied with a shrug, “suit yourself there.” He smirked at her a little. He wondered how long the two of them could keep this up.
